Celebrating 70 Years of Faith & Community
Joy! From Gratitude to Growth.
This year, St. Simon Parish joyfully celebrates 70 years of faith, while St. Simon School kicks off the commeoration of 65 years of educating hearts and minds. What began in 1955 as a small group of faithful families and an apricot orchard has grown into a thriving community of worship, service, and learning. Together, we look back with gratitude for all who built our parish and school and look forward with hope as we grow into the future. We invite you for a week of celebration filled with prayer, fellowship, service, and joy!

History
Our Story: From Orchard to Parish
In 1955, God sent Fr. James Spooncer of Los Altos to lead a group of pioneering families in establishing a new parish. With Archbishop John J. Mitty’s support, the community’s shared vision, and the grace of the Holy Spirit, an apricot orchard was transformed into St. Simon Parish. Over the following seven years, a convent, rectory, and St. Simon Parish School were added, laying the foundation for the vibrant parish we celebrate today.
