HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
Hospitality Ministers embody the mission of St. Simon to foster a warm community that welcomes and values each person. The primary role of a hospitality minister is to greet parishioners and most importantly, offer radical hospitality by serving as a welcoming and inclusive presence.
The Ushers and Greeters are commissioned with creating a friendly and welcoming environment to those who enter the doors of the Church. They are often the first and the last face you see at Sunday Mass – they are called to be the face of Christ in welcoming not only our parishioners but also the stranger.
This ministry is open to all and is a great way for an entire family to get involved.
HOW DOES ONE BECOME A MEMBER OF THE HOSPITALITY MINISTRY?
If you are interested in serving in the Liturgical Ministry of Hospitality as an Usher or a Greeter, please contact the coordinator, Oliver Obusan at hospitality@stsimon.org. Training will be provided.
