Seventy years ago, our founding families planted seeds of faith on an apricot orchard in Los Altos. Gathering outdoors, they dreamed of the church and school that would someday rise here. From those humble beginnings grew the vibrant St. Simon community we cherish today.
As we honor that legacy, we fi nd ourselves at another moment of grace. Across our Diocese, Bishop Cantú has invited us into a season of renewal through the pastoral plan and Sowing Seeds of Faith campaign. At St. Simon, we have embraced this journey with a commitment to Catholic education, revitalized liturgies, thriving retreats, growing ministries, and a deepened hunger for spiritual formation. Our people are hungry to be fed and eager to grow and bear fruit.
Now it is our turn to build for the future. We are called to create spaces that support education, prayer, formation, and community, that bring parish and school together as one family and allow faith to flourish. Central to this vision is our new Education & Spirituality Center, a place that will provide vital classrooms and dedicated areas for after-school activities, parish staff, spiritual direction, parish retreats, faith formation, as well as ministry and outreach gatherings.
