Safe Environment Training

As required by the Diocese of San Jose and for the safety of children and vulnerable adults, every adult volunteer at St. Simon must be:

  1. Fingerprinted
  2. Complete Virtus online training every 3 years
  3. Sign the Volunteer Waiver Form prior to work on campus.

Children between the ages of 14-17 are required to take a Virtus training for teens that expires after 2 years.

The Office for the Protection of Children & Vulnerable Adults (OPCVA) is committed to fostering healthy relationships by means of educating, training, and screening all adults who have regular access to children, youth and vulnerable adults within the Diocese of San Jose for the purpose of preventing harm.
