Tuesday, December 17th, will be the last day of Eucharistic Adoration at St. Simon for 2024. We will resume on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Thank you to our priests and all the adorers for making Eucharistic Adoration possible.
May your Advent and Christmas seasons be filled with grace to bring you closer to our Lord Jesus, and may your New Year be filled with good health, joy, and peace.
Eucharistic Adoration is every Tuesday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm with Benediction at 2:00 p.m in the St. Simon Chapel (on the side of the Church). We meet September through June. Our Church and Chapel are open for visiting and praying to Jesus in the Tabernacle seven days a week 9am to 5pm. We have Daily Mass at 6:30 am and 8:30 am.
Eucharistic Adoration allows us to be in the real presence of God, experiencing His love and grace in a deeply personal way. However, it is crucial to remember that the Mass is the central and most important act of worship in our faith, where we encounter Christ in the Eucharist. Adoration serves as a powerful complement to the Mass. This time with Christ renews and strengthens us, empowering us to go out and do good in our communities. By spending time in Adoration, we draw the spiritual energy needed to live out our faith, bringing Christ’s love and goodness into our daily lives, all while keeping the Mass at the heart of our worship and devotion.
“Through adoration, the Christian mysteriously contributes to the radical transformation of the world and to the sowing of the gospel. Anyone who prays to the Saviour draws the whole world with him and raises it to God.” Pope St John Paul II
During Eucharistic Adoration, the faithful pray to Jesus Christ, who is present in the Eucharist. While it is true that you can pray to God anywhere and that He is always within you, it is especially powerful to adore Jesus in the Eucharist. In the presence of the Eucharist, we pray to the power and sacrifice that it represents — the body of Jesus, who gave His life so that we may live.
Here’s your chance to spend more time in quiet prayer in the real presence of Christ —Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in the form of the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Your life and prayers can make a difference in the world. Discover the immeasurable graces and blessings received by you, your family, our Church, our country and our world through participation in Eucharistic Adoration.
