This year, we are honored to host Sunday Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) classes for Stanford families and their children.

Coffee and Conversation
Parents, please join Fr. Brendan for coffee and conversation while your child/children is in class. We meet monthly in the school Art Room from approx. 10 – 11am. Dates will be announced with the calendar.
Children’s Programs
It’s an incredible blessing to work with your young children and our catechists as they grow in their faith and deepen their relationship with God. Together, we will explore the richness of our Catholic tradition, discover the beauty of prayer, and build a strong foundation of love and community at St. Simon.
We offer programs for preschool children through to 8th grade:
- Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) for children in preschool – grade 1.
- Children’s Faith Formation (CFF) for children in grades 2 – 5.
- Middle School Youth Ministry for children in grades 6 -8.
- Confirmation for children in grade 8.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) during Sunday 9am Mass
CLOW meets on Sundays during the 9am Mass. Children are encouraged to hear the Word of God at their own level. There is no registration for this program, children attend Mass with their parents and are dismissed following the Opening Prayers and then return during the Offertory Song.

- CGS Preschool-Kindergarten: Sunday 10:00-11:30am
- CGS Grade 1: Sunday 10:00-11:30am
- CFF Grade 2 First Reconciliation & Holy Communion Class: Sunday 10:00-11:15am
- CFF Grade 3: Sunday 10:00-11:15am
- CFF Grade 4: Sunday 10:00-11:15am
- CFF Grade 5: Sunday 10:00-11:15am
- MSYM Grades 6-8: Thursday 3:30pm-5:00pm 2x/month
- MSYM Grade 8 Confirmation Class: Tuesday 3:30-5:00pm 2x/month
Baptism and Sacramental preparation for children and teens who are not yet baptized or who have not yet received the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation.
This program is for children and teens (3rd grade and above, typically age 7 and older) who wish to become fully initiated into the Catholic Church. Participants receive the Sacraments of Initiation—Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist—at the Easter Vigil, often alongside adults in the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) process.

Preschool Parents

Getting Involved – we need your help!
If you are interested in volunteering with us, we have many ways you can help – materials preparation, assistant or Catechist in the classroom, assist at our Children’s events and service projects.. Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a one-week summer camp held in June open to children entering Kindergarten through grade 6. Counselor positions are available for students entering grades 7 and older.
