MS-YM Volunteer opportunities

We are looking for 2-3 more people to join our St Simon Middle School Youth Ministry core team.

  • The only requirement is a desire to build our parish and future church through forming our youth in the faith.
  • We meet twice per month as a core team for an hour or so to plan and prepare our semi-monthly sessions.
  • We meet with the teens ~ 2 Sundays per month from 3:30pm-4:45pm; core team members who are in town that day typically come at 3pm to set up – we do finish (including any cleanup) at 4:45pm, enabling all to attend the Sunday evening 5pm mass.
  • All St Simon adults are welcome – including college-aged students and young adults – you do not need to be a parent to volunteer for our ministry.

We also need:

Small group discussion facilitators – do not need to assist in planning/preparation, but come to the gatherings with the teens and facilitate their discussions using prepared questions.
