The members of St. Vincent de Paul would like to graciously thank you for all the donations we received to help others during this Christmas season. Your generosity is overwhelming!
Thank you to all of the school families who helped donate gift cards and money for the Giving Tree project. Also, thank you for the gift cards and donations dropped off at the rectory for us to use. We also collected over $2000 during the Christmas
Drive- Through event last weekend. We were able to help 85 families and over 230 children with gift cards. Their faces were beaming as they drove through the line to pick up their gift bag with candy and gift cards. Clearly the faces of Jesus!
We would like to share with you about one of the families we were able to help. They were referred to us by Sr. Donna and we are thankful we were able to help. The mother and her 7 month old son traveled in the back of a truck for 2 weeks to get here. The baby was sick by the time she arrived. She is now living in a tire shop and sleeping on a mattress with her son. We were able to give her some clothes for the baby, a blanket and warm things for her and some Target gift cards so she could get needed items for the baby. All of this is because of your wonderful generosity.
All of the members of St. Vincent de Paul thank you for your generosity, support and prayers throughout the year. We are truly blessed to be part of the St. Simon community. We wish all of you a very joyous Christmas and a very Happy New Year filled with blessings and miracles.
